Sting is a leader in embracing the most cutting edge technologies. We are here to ensure that your security surveillance system is best equipped to tackle to strict demands of your business – now and in the future. From cameras to DVRs, we have a range of technologies that help support a well rounded surveillance system. Here is an overview of some of the technologies that we integrate into our advanced systems

Infrared Motion Detectors
Sting uses modern Infrared motion detectors to make an alert of motion made by a heat source. Infrared motion detectors look for changes in heat in different areas of a room, alerting a system when the heat source has moved from one area to another. This system has been proven to be highly effective at reducing false alarms. Infrared Motion Detectors are commonly installed in residential and commercial applications to trigger a burglar alarm.
Video Cameras
There are several types of cameras that Sting uses to capture video indoors and outdoors, during the day and at night. Cameras come in all shapes and sizes and are available for a range of applications. Depending on the conditions at hand, we deploy the best camera for the job. Our cameras can perform in various conditions; some include Infrared LEDs for excellent nighttime visibility. Certain models offer increased functionality with the ability to pan 360 degrees at various angles, extending the cameras usability. Our cameras are also offer high-resolution models that enhance picture quality and boast a high frame rate for live action viewing.
DVRs
The DVR is the main storage for all of your captured video. A DVR is usually centrally located in your IT room with your other network devices. Depending on the number of cameras you have and the capacity of your DVR, you can archive around 14 days of surveillance footage, you can increase your capacity and expand your archive up to 30 days. The DVR is accessed through a monitor much like a computer, but the interface is simplified as it only serves a video capturing device.
Monitors
Sting uses high quality monitors to interact with video surveillance systems. Monitors can be used with a mouse and keyboard interface, or they can set up with a touch based system to easily navigate through menus and different cameras. Depending on the size of your system and number of cameras you would like to display on one screen, monitor sizes range from 19” up to 42”.
Access Control
Access Control systems are made up of a series of electronic locks, card swipes and access cards. You can also integrate biometric scanners (fingerprint) into your access control. The actual door locks need to integrated into your central security system. From that point, card swipes and actual key cards (which can be a simple card or an ID badge) are issued to access the doors necessary. Access is then established, monitored and delegated through an access control interface on a PC.
Video Intercom
Sting can install an advanced video intercom system so that you can visually identify individuals that your security team is corresponding with. These simple wall mounted units use a small LCD screen to display the image and can be used in one way or two way transmissions.Emergency Phones
Create an easy resource for people accessing your facility to safely contact on-site security professionals. Emergency Phones are a high profile tool to ensure a quick response for security and emergency situations, reducing risk and increasing safety.
Video Analytics
Video Analytics is a technology that is used to analyze video for specific data, behavior, objects or attitude. It has a wide range of applications including safety and security. The technology can evaluate the contents of video to determine specified information about the content of that video. Examples of video analytics applications include: counting the number of pedestrians entering a door or geographic region, determining the location, speed and direction of travel, identifying suspicious movement of people or assets. Video Analytics is great tool to assist in business management or to trigger a response from an un-monitored video feed.
Panic Button & Silent Alarm
Your employees can easily alert a monitoring station or emergency authorities by installing a low profile panic button. These buttons are usually situated near areas that have a higher risk of criminal activity, typically a cash register. This silent alarm immediately alerts of an emergency situation that demands attention. Sting also offers a cash drawer triggers that sound a silent alarm when “dummy” cash is taken from a register.
Glass Break Sensors
Sting uses audible frequency glass break detectors that trigger an alarm when glass is broken anywhere near the detectors. No matter how many windows your facility has, these detectors use sound to clearly identify glass breakage. This alert will instantly notify you of force entry or vandalism.
